Index Data hiring in Copenhagen

Index Data is looking for a software developer for their Copenhagen office.

We are looking for a skilled developer to help out in various projects. You need to have strong, full-stack engineering skills, with experience building and running medium/large projects, preferably with experience (or love for) OSS. Library technology experience is a plus but by no means a hard requirement. You need to enjoy teamwork, while also having a strong ability to manage your time and work independently. You will be working on customer software projects as well as developing and supporting our own SaaS solutions.

We work in a variety of development environments to suit the needs of current projects. At the moment, Java and Javascript (server and browser side) are very high on our list. We are primarily a Linux shop, although we occasionally have need to develop and support software under Windows. Our customers are technology vendors and service providers, often with a focus on information access and processing.

Keywords: Structured metadata, XML and related technologies, linked data (semantic web), Jenkins, Maven, Git, Linux/Bash, Solr/Lucene or other indexing technology. Polyglot developers are preferred.

Index Data is a small, international software development and service company, currently counting 15 people. We provide services to a broad range of industrial and library clients all over the world. Our small Copenhagen office is responsible for many of our core architectural design and they form the focal point of our internal development activities, in collaboration with our distributed team.
