Most software can be downloaded using Git:

git clone git://git.indexdata.com/project

Where project is the software package, for example yaz. The software manged by Git can also be browsed from git.indexdata.com.

Note that in order to compile the bare source, more software components are needed than for the .tar.gz (dist) files - including Docbook, autoconf, libtool, automake, Git, Tcl .

Since the submodule feature is used, Git Version 1.5.3 or later is required.
