Index Data Featured in Library Mashups

Recently published Library Mashups: Exploring New Ways to Deliver Library Data contains much of relevance to our community, but we were particularly pleased to read Chapter 20: Federated Database Search Mashup, which recounts the experiences of the Ohio Public Library Information Network. Stephen Hedges, Karl Jendretzky and Laura Solomon recount how OPLIN used Index Data's technology in conjunction with standards-based services to build an information discovery service that was uniquely their own, custom-built to match the need of their user community.

In addition, our very own Wolfram Schneider writes in chapter 19: ZACK Bookmarks about his own experiences exploring the range of possibilities offered by service mashups.
