OhioLINK Signs Metasearch Contract with ID

August 19, 2009 - West Hartford, CT

The Ohio Library and Information Network (OhioLINK) has contracted with Index Data to implement the first phase of a substantial re-engineering of their discovery services platform.

Taking advantage of Index Data's advanced metasearch technologies and modular, tool-oriented software platform, OhioLINK will work together with Index Data to implement its MasterKey™ suite of technologies.  The new discovery service, which will be deployed this fall, is the first phase in an extensive re-implementation of the services now offered by OhioLINK, including the harvesting and indexing of information resources, both commercial and public.

"We are very proud that one of the premier library consortia in the country has selected Index Data as a technology partner," said Lynn Bailey, Index Data's CEO.  "We believe that it is essential for libraries to play an active role in the management of their own digital landscapes.  By packaging advanced functionality into simple tools, we empower more organizations to design and implement their own, sophisticated information infrastructure.”
